Senior PL/SQL Developer Full Time

Job Description

We are looking senior database developer to join our impactful team.

Implementation of tactical design
Requirements analysis and specification design at a system/enterprise level
Effort estimates and impact analysis for self and others in line with organization objectives
Development in PL/SQL and MySQL
Unit testing of developed code
Code Reviews of development done in PL/SQL and MySQL
Document reviews
Design & Implement Data Management strategies which include validation of source data and the use of data in management Reporting
Knowledge sharing with team
3rd line support
Development of Functional Specifications and Technical specifications
Assist with proposals to client
Attend project meetings and supply updates on progress
Responsible for the performance and delivery of team members
Mentor and grow juniors

Essential Competencies:

5 years relevant Oracle 12c/19c database development experience
3 years relevant MySQL database development experience
Good technical understanding of data modelling, design and architecture principles and techniques
Expert understanding of Oracle PL/SQL
Experience in high data volume environments
Expert understanding of SQL
Good documentation skills
Excellent analytical and problem solving ability
Professional and effective communication skills
Ability to work within a technical team comprised of internal and external resources
Ability to plan and organize development work and deliverables
Understanding of the full SDLC
Disciplined approach to code maintenance

Advantageous Competencies:

Telecommunications experience.
Cloud Experience
AWS RDS & Aurora
